Tailored Signage Built to Last
This bespoke signage project posed a unique design challenge — the sign needed to clear both a tiled roof and an existing gutter. Our solution was a custom aluminium frame, carefully engineered for strength and weather resistance, ideal for Scotland’s unpredictable climate.
To meet the client’s requirements, the sign was built to include an illuminated logo and integrated downlighting to safely light the surrounding paths. The aluminium structure was TIG welded by hand, clad in a shaped skin, and finished with printed branding that follows the contours of the design. A built-in lightbox on the fascia ensures the logo stands out, with future maintenance access included.
Finished with energy-efficient LED modules, the result is a durable, eye-catching sign that complements the high standards of the client’s site.
Striking Entrance Sign with Built-In Flexibility
Our client needed a bold, illuminated entrance sign that was both durable and visually impactful. Standing at 4.3 metres tall, we designed and fabricated a robust aluminium skeleton using 150mm and 100mm box section, TIG welded by hand for strength and longevity. To complement the site’s aesthetic, the frame was wrapped in a realistic wood-effect vinyl.
The signage face features six individual 3mm aluminium panels, each water-jet cut with custom lettering. These were precision folded, powder coated, and backed with opal acrylic to allow internal LED lighting to shine through — delivering clear, striking visibility at night.
Assembled on-site and anchored with concrete inserts, the entire structure is designed to be relocatable if needed in future. The end result is a truly bespoke, attention-grabbing installation that makes a powerful first impression.
Wind-Responsive Feature Flags for Site Entrance
As part of the site’s visual identity, our client requested durable feature flags to line the main approach. Traditional fixed flag installations often suffer from wind damage due to their large surface area, so we engineered a smarter solution.
Our design allows each flagpole to rotate freely with the wind direction, significantly reducing wind loading and wear. To achieve this, we created custom aluminium ground inserts with precision-engineered pivot points, hidden nylon bushings, and integrated lubrication points for smooth, long-term performance.
A total of 10 rotating flag units were manufactured and installed, creating an eye-catching and weather-resilient entrance feature.
