The Vinyl Cut is born

We began our journey with our mobile workshop.

Setup Aberdeen workshop

Bought Grampian Signs and setup our Aberdeen workshop.

Our journey

Founded with a commitment to quality and creativity, we’ve grown into a leader in the signage and livery industry.

A major milestone was winning the UK award at the Roland Creative Awards, where our work was voted ‘Best in the UK.’ This earned us a place in the global finals in Japan, showcasing our expertise alongside the world’s best.

We started in 1997 from a mobile workshop, creating bespoke liveries on-site. Word of mouth quickly grew our reputation, and in 1999 we merged with Grampian Signs, setting up in Aberdeen. In 2006, we moved to our current premises near Stonehaven, continuing to deliver personal, high-quality service.

Recognised excellence

Our commitment to quality and attention to detail was recognized on a global scale when we won 1st place in the UK at the Roland Creative Awards in 2012.

This accolade reflects our dedication to excellence and the high standards we bring to every project.

Although we didn’t take home the global prize, our experience in Japan and the recognition we received solidified our place as industry leaders.

Commitment to sustainability

We’re committed to doing our part for the environment.

Recently, we invested in 77 solar panels that generate 33kW of electricity, making us self-sufficient in our electrical needs. With battery storage of 45kWh, we’re able to store and use energy efficiently.

We’re proud to say that we feed 80% of our generated electricity back into the grid, helping to power local homes. While we continue to strive towards sustainability, we recognise there’s more work to be done.
